I'm having a hard time with the dialing device from enhanced portals. I have one in the nether in a blaze farm and I'm trying to go there from a portal at home, but when I try dialing it, it says the portal at home doesn't have the same unique identifier, I try changing it and it says it's being used in the nether..? Please help

I don't have much experience with Enhanced portals, but from what I understand, each portal has two Identifiers; unique and network. The unique identifier is specific to that portal and no other portal can have that identifier, while the network identifier is used to link portals together by having them use the same network identifier. Each of these are provided by a different block which you place in the portal frame (unfortunately I don't know the names of the blocks off the top of my head).
From what I can gather, it sounds like you're correctly setting a unique identifier on your nether based portal, and then in an attempt to join the portals as a network are trying to use the same unique identifier on the portal at your base. To fix this issue, make sure you have each portal with a different unique identifier, but with the same network identifier (different to the unique identifier).

I think you need to specify which version of Enhanced Portals you are using.
In the lastest, Enhanced Portals 3, you set up each portal with each their own unique identifier. So for example set "Nether star" in the Nether and "Diamond" in Overworld. When in the Nether you then "Dial" the Diamond to get a connection to the overworld portal, and when in overworld you dial the "Nether Star" icon to get to the Nether.
The "Unique Identifier" icons are just like phone numbers. Just dial up the one you want access to.

Yes (or at least for 1.7.2). But unfortunatelly the author stopped working on it. The project is Open Source though and I have heard that there are people interested in working further on this mod.
