I made myself an Auroral Battery. In order to put some energy into it, I used Tier 5 Magnetostatic Engines drawing from my 5GRF capacitor bank, sent their output to induction generators and connected the generators to the side of the battery with superconducting cable. Looking at the cable, it shows the current and the voltage correctly, and the spotlight I watched says it does that only if there is a valid destination. But...nothing appears to go into the battery. Stored energy stays at 0,000 J.

What is the problem?

Ya sure ya got the wire plucked to the side/buttocks of da battery?

Also is the superconductor thingy filled with coolant?

I haven't done anything with Ecraft just yet so I'm just throwing ideas :I

As I understood the spotlight, you need the redstone signal only for the output. I'm trying to input energy. But I'll check.

...as I thought. No change.

My bad, I read that as output.

If it wasn't connected, it wouldn't show the current and voltage. I checked both versions, with and without connection. And yes, I have appropriately cooled superconducting wires. According to NEI, the uncooled versions couldn't even be placed.

Problem fixed. I had connected four generators to the battery in a single cable, and two of them were not yet powered since I wanted to test the setup first. I don't know why, but after I disconnected the two unpowered generators the battery started to charge up. I have a vague intuition that this makes complete sense, but if someone knows the reason and can explain it to me in more precise terms I would be grateful.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Very funny :p. If my system was running while I was working on it, I would expect some strangeness. I never do that if it can be avoided. Anyway, the problem is fixed as of two posts above.
