So basically after thinking it through, i finally decided to come and play some Unhinged, but now i have no clue what to do, how to get a basic power system, and i was thinking about coming here and seeing if any of you guys can give me some tips or a guide on how to get started in unhinged, and maybe getting a decent early game power system up.

Note, im not an expert on gregtech, i literally just started a few hours ago

Have you played Unleashed or any other modpack before?
Anyway, I recommend using the following system: Aqueous Accumulator-Hobbyist's Steam Engine-TE machines until you have enough materials to start making GT recipes (which are downright painful). Also, get a bunch of Coke Ovens set up ASAP (they're gonna be useful) - I'd say 4. After that, make an MFE, a LV-Transformer, a pair of generators and the following set of machines: Compressor, Extractor, Plate Bending and whatever you can use to stop using GT tools. Get a fuckton of almost everything and build an Industrial Blast Furnace. Make the portal to the Nether. Go to the Nether, get a fuckton of Glowstone (you should get some Lapis in the overworld) and make the Industrial Grinder and the Industrial Centrifuge. After that, it's better to get a more indepth guide, because I just know the basics.

Cool, i already got a little glowstone, and ill get started on that, but what kind of TE machines should i get?

After that, an Induction Smelter, a Magma Crucible, an Igneous Extruder (with an Aqueous Accumulator, you can mass produce smooth stone) and a Liquid Transposer. That way you can create a Redstone Energy Cell and Energy Conduits (which are really good at storing MJ and distributing it). Also, you should get a solid fueled boiler setup (preferentiably a 12LP boiler - it won't cost a lot) and then power your TE machines with it (it will be a total of 6 Commercial Steam Engines). At that point, you should get a few more Pulverizers/Powered Furnaces (preferentiably you should have 3) and process all your ores with it. To power the boiler, I reccommend an MFR treefarm using a 2x2 jungle tree as its plant (a planter can plant in a 3x3 with it at the middle, and a harvester can harvest in a 3x3 in the front of it) connected to a powered furnace to turn that into charcoal.

can anyone give me the total cost of 6 commercial steam engines? and what is a 12lp boiler? can i have pics?

anyone know if i can substitue a different kind of saplings for jungle? i cant find a jungle sapling

Yes, fir saplings.
To be honest, that or an insane amount of bee breeding. While Oak is decent, it won't be as effective.

Hm, Well, i checked, but i wasnt able to find it. And im looking for suitable wood replacements but i cant really find anything that would work, would the tall trees in the grove work? i mean the ones that have the spruce looking wood.

There's a thread called "Ask a simple question, get a simple awnser".
I think you should use it.

Yeah, i guess thatll be best.

Just checking, i didnt piss anyone off did i?

And is it ok if i save the more compliacted questions for this thread?
