Hello everyone:
Can the MFR harvestor harvest things like cotton and berry bushes without breaking the plant? Can it also harvest rubber nodes from IC2 rubber trees without destroying the tree?

1. Yes
2. Probably not, but I haven't tested it. Forestry is usually a good source of rubber (either multifarm or centrifuging propolis from bees). MFR can however harvest IC2 crops, so you can just make some stickreed.

MFR rubber should be interchangeable with IC2 rubber. Just setup an MFR rubber tree farm and pass the logs through a TE sawmill. The byproduct will be IC2 rubber resin and you'll still have the mfr rubber.

Golems can harvest them (in the later versions) but you have to work out how to do it so the golem doesn't get hurt.

I have an automated system with MFR harvester picks a 11x11 field or various oreberry bushes, the output goes direct into a IC2 Induction Furnace and from there into a GT Electric crafting table. So oreberrys into nuggets into ingots then into my AE system, all automated.

Good to know. I'll probably create a long run with fences above and on one side of the bushes so that the Golems can't hop up onto them and only get access to one side. Thanks for the info

It's not directly interchangable - the rubber you get from the MFR trees must be smelted before you can use it as an IC2 replacement.

Which really only means one cannot place it on the ground to be sticky.

Sticky pistons, torches and the like - all work.

hey,

Do you know the harvester retrieving high? And which version would that be e.g. 1.1.1/2/3?

Harvesters have an insane range upwards to cope with the really huge trees, I've never worked out what the exact number is though ( I think it's around 40 high)

awesome, good to know about the hight thing. i really funny about build stuff that doesn't work as intending caseu then i don't know what to do with as the solution usally require an abstreact idea. thanks. and which version were you referencing when you mentioned
MFRs harvester can also harvest oreberry bushes too (needs latest version I think).
?

Harvesting height in the configs is 20 for fruit trees, and 40 for regular log/tree harvesting for Unleashed.
