Details of the issue:
I have a paid account but the launcher won't detect it. What do I do?​
 
By paid account you mean a Minecraft account yes?

If it's not working, it means you're not using correct user/pass

Make sure not to typo
 
If you're running Windows 10, tun the launcher with Windows 7 compatibility and as an administrator, I've had a similar issue previously.

Can you also tell what running java with admin rights does for security?

Regardless, using this to fix profile issues before reverting back to regular privileges should pose extremely minimal threat to security for just a brief time

What about rights to update launcher's data files after reverting back to normal account?
