I'd always wanted to make a modpack loosely based on a game or a specific setting from a game. Fallout wasteland for example.

Well adventure/custom map style packs have become more popular especially with HQM so this could turn out to be interesting.

I was thinking more of a skyblock experience but not a skyblock and instead in a world inspired by a game. Fallout's dead and dangerous wasteland for example. You could make quite an interesting Ex Nihilo modpack out of that.

have you played regrowth? It's kind of a sky block but you have infinite land to explore and ores do spawn but you use ex nihilo for seeds and life related stuff, it also focuses on Botania quite a bit which is a fun mod. So you could try that and maybe make or talk with someone to make a modpack

Yes, I have played Regrowth but I don't really like magic imo, so I stopped.

Well everyone has preferences so that's fine, and if you are thinking Fallout then I'd guess you would want it technology based right?
 
I'd like to see a pack based on the book "The Stars My Destination" by Alfred Bester. It's kind of like Count of Monte Cristo in space and starts out on a wrecked spaceship somewhere between Jupiter and the asteroid belt. I don't know that I could build it myself, but I would sure enjoy playing it if someone else did.

That's fine, Progression works well for this as well.

A Pack that focuses on EnderIO, it is my favorite tech mod so far and I think it needs more attention the progression is also really nice if you don't start the mod when you already have infinite resources.

A modpack based around this mod could be pretty cool, i prefer modpacks with a purpose, a progressing storyline / quests. We could set up some lore about it (easiest end goal is always stoping the apocalypse), but we can center the mod around the endermen and ender zoo, stating how they were the key to stoping a cataclysm once before, however have decided that man does not deserve to survive (explaining why we'll have to kill endermen). Progressing the tech / magitech to reach some ultimate creation (idk what it'd be). Maybe someone could expand on this.

Yeah I mean I really like the mod I would say that they could make it more useful
 
A modpack centered around farming that doesn't have automated farming or the ExU healing axe. You know what I might do this for my next mod pack, lol.

Ocean based modpack...
I think you could have ores extremely scarce but really you shouldn't rely on ores at all maybe like a boost/luck kind of thing. But it centers around an ex nihilo sort of thing but with water. So you start off using a bucket to put in the filter but later it speeds up and can be pumped in and automated once it is upgraded enough

I want to see more modpacks based on multiplayer PVP. Sorta like trident and voltz was except wit the newer mods and possibly HQM.

Overall we need more combat packs PvP and PvE. You know, lots of bosses and lots of gear to choose from.
 
A trade based modpack, would need to be with HQM(Not the biggest fan but this way it wouldn't be the same old HQM+Ex Nihilo) and heavy mine tweaking but I think this could be possible
EDIT: Villager Trading in case you for some reason thought I meant some other sort of trading.
