This confuses me. Are you saying "This won't work, because the wolves don't know who they themselves are." or "You (the player) can't punish someone for not following this rule, because you don't know who they are."?
 
I'm more inclined to believe it is the second choice shazzy.

I... prefer not to stab people, to be honest.

However sometimes people do deserve to be stabbed and other times it is inevitable.
