You didn't specify a Terrain, and since you did not place a material in front of it (because it did not exist), you did not specify a material for that terrain either, so both were chosen at random.

Oh, I was so stupid then XD All I had terrain-related was a terrain void dimlet, so I hoped that the terrain would randomly generate too... Thanks for the tip though :D
BTW, as for the Rocket Fuel, do I have to specify it with another terrain dimlet?

Yes rocket fuel is similar. It also has to go before either terrain or else a feature that needs liquids (like lakes or liquid orbs)

That appeared to work, but I went from 512m PermGen to 1G PermGen.. will I encounter any issues with a permGen that size?

I don't even recall entering these JVM args. Are these default to FTB now or did I get drunk and slip them in there?

How am I supposed to grow the nether wart? I noticed we have the 1.3.1 version that fixed some issues with the soul sand but so I must be doing something wrong. On the other hand, there is no Nitor Wart in the NEI and this was also added in Agricraft 1.3.1 and I dont see it being removed in the MT scripts....

Could anything have happened with the dimlets on my starting world that prevents lapis from spawning? Am I unlucky? Might I be digging in the wrong place? (Layer 16 stone)
It's just annoying since the everything I need/want to craft seems to revolve around lapis :(
Might I have a poor ores dimlet or something? I'm getting very few of some other ores too, especially copper.

I did the math on the energy consumption for the first dimension you make (7rf/t), and it equates to about 45 minutes of time before the leadstone energy cell in the Pathfinder dies and the dimension is left running on it's own power. But I have a tendency to idle a lot, and as much as I try to make sure I hit esc to pause before I do, I forget often... But somehow on my third IRL day playing this, I have experienced no ill effects even though I've played for at least 10 hours now. How big is the buffer for the dimension?

I found the second set of quests are more for the first time on the first dimension while playing till I BLEW UP IN BED and had to restart, so now I'm trying to stay in the first for as long as I can and finish all the quests there. But at the same time, I'm worried that my time here is limited.

It might be that "tick" is actually seconds, a few mods do that, in which case that 45 minutes would be 15 hours. That still doesn't leave me with much time left...

Only grievances with the map is that there is no warning for exploding beds in other dimensions, I know how beds work but I assumed that the first was sufficiently normal to support beds...
Also quests seem to be ordered oddly. "Cortez" really should not be doable until you finish at least "Ranger" so you have some sort of stronger power supply before going back to the pathfinder. My second short play-through involved me finishing "Cortez" almost immediately after entering First, since the wood for the Dialing Device and Matter Transmitter were easily obtainable even with my bare fist, and nothing led me to believe that there was more to do in that page of quests. I scrounged up the three iron for a generator, (didn't bring sterling generator with me) and waiting for the few coal I had to slowly power them up. And then not having enough power in the Matter receiver to return from Pathfinder once I realized there's a whole section of quests to do while on First. I realize that having a purely linear questline makes for a greatly reduced re-playability, but some additional direction in that first set of quests to let you know that you need to do other things before advancing would be nice.

Wow I got carried away...

Also, third playthrough spawned me fairly near this Beautiful sight:

I'm not sure what mod adds it, but NEI has a plugin that shows the best layer to mine things in.

Lapis is 49
Copper is 58

If you need others, look up how to get the ore, and scroll backwards one. It's almost always in that spot.

Gideon made it so that dimensions don't consume power. So you can live forever in your rftools world. That's not a standard feature of RFTools mind you! Just only in this modpack.

The exploding bed thing is fixed in the latest update.
