Then why was the TE3 Thread on MCF locked, with a moderator there saying that Team COFH does not want to work on the mod anymore?

The mod stated KL isn't working on it anymore. There's a team behind TE3 now, and AFAIK they're going to be porting it at some point.

Edit: Source for those that want to see the actual comment.

Mojang hates mods, because there are lots of modders that do stuff way better than what Mojang has implemented. Basically, a jealousy story.

Yes, they definietly hate people who keeps their product up and running.
Jeb ( on one of the minecons) stated that they can not as many features as the whole internet can. How many games you know, where mods make it into the game several times?

Any questions?

or maybe they just fix code fast and like to update the game on a bi-monthly/tri-monthly basis -0_0_

Thats why they don't rush it on 1.8.

It's not that they hate mods or modders, they actually quite like mods. As a matter of fact, hoppers, pistons, horses, and even connected stair models are all taken from mods. Buildcraft, Hippoplatimus's piston mod, mo'creatures, and betterStairs respectively. And you know the prereleases? Those snapshots that are pretty much exactly what the release is going to be? Those are to help MCP and Bukkit get a head start on updating. What they don't do is let mods get in the way of releases. They aren't going to postpone a release just to let modders catch up. Expecting that is just ridiculous. That would severely hinder the progress of development.

Mojang just added the ability to use slime cubes with pistons to move multiple blocks to snapshot 1.8.x... This was developed by the group Docm77 (Edit: zipcrowd) is a member of:
