Well my friend decided to power our base off of Zombeasts!

Ok, so actually we're using a Tier-4 Zombie Shard to spawn zombies into a drop-kill, they land on transposers, and then we make them into delicious Pink Goop! I mean....Methane....

1 Gas Turbine isn't quite enough to power 4 centrifuges, but provides a surplus at 3. We are getting FAR more zombie flesh than 4 centrifuges can handle, and we're running out of room in our small area, haha.

We're underground and trying to stay hidden to prevent griefing. :(

Also zombies only die to their left (weird huh?).

LOL that is an awesome idea.

Much cooler then the Mob to recyclers to scrap to generator ideas ive seen with spawners.

Yeah we had just two centrifuges running, and we'd pump about 30 buckets into the pipes/turbine and it would produce about 350kEU excess while producing about 60 buckets by the time the 350k EU (+ the time running while that built up) ran out, then we'd just pump a bit more in.

We've switched to 4 Industrial 'fuges, and those actually suck power, so we use our Nether thermals to fill up energy crystals to power it. We're still not using all the Zombie flesh with 4 'fuges, so we plan to add more of those and more Gas Turbines.

*Edit* I actually had to turn off the spawner when I logged off so it wouldn't overfill our diamond chest while we're gone (since it's chunk loaded). It almost filled a diamond chest in about 2 hours or so, which I know isn't all that much, but way more than we can process right now.

oh wow, you can pump methane directly into the gas turbine...why have I been doing it so hard for so long.

This is a mock up I did recently in a test world. I use water to funnel the zombies to a lava block over a transposer, which does not have to be pulsed as the flesh falls directly onto it. An item detector inline to the centrifuge set to emit if backstuffed serves as a simple automatic off switch.

You could also push them to a 1-wide drop rather than your current pit. Add a lever and a sticky piston in the chute to have it double as an exp grinder.

Haha this is a great idea. I thought about doing it with livestock but seems cooler as a zombie juicer

I do like that idea using the detector to check for back flow. Nice idea I might have to brow that for a furture project.

Try a 36 liquid boiler with the methane, you should get a better fuel economy, even with steam->crucible->geo/thermal

But then what would I do with my 3000 buckets of biofuel?

Turtle(s) plus Brain in a jar.

I had in mind a similar setup (the fall one), but chanelling them to a single square before the drop, with water far enough of the spawner so that it doesn't affect the spawns.

That way, I can either let them kill themselves, or flip a switch and activate a piston and two sword turtles to kill them and get their drops. I plan to also add a brain in jar to get the exp for me if I am not around.

I am quite far from actually being able to use methane and produce it, but I can at least have tons of enchanted stuff for now.

in the transposer setup, if you surround each transposer with pressure plates, you can pulse the transposers when the zombie lands, and make the whole thing automatic and not need any timers, plus need a lot fewer transposers. it you use wooden plates, they will activate if the drops land on them. you can use some red alloy wire on the bottom of the blocks under the plates surrounding each transposer and make it so the tranposer gets triggered no matter which of the 8 blocks surrounding has items/drops.

Transposers need no timers to pick up items dropped on them. And I know we could have funneled them to 1 block, but this was more fun. :p

yes, but you would need a floor of transposers to collect every block. If you activate a transposer with a redstone signal, it will pick up from all the surrounding blocks as well.

Here is in pictures what I was talking about.

The pressure plates in the corners will not activate the transposer. To get around that, use some red alloy wire on the bottom like this to make every corner activate the tansposer from the pressure plate.

You only need the corner blocks attached to one of the side blocks to activate the transposer.

Instead of a floor of transposers, simply repeat this design, and you can cover a large area cheaply.

Ah! I didn't know they could pick up from surrounding blocks! Thanks for that info. =D

And I know we could use just a few transposers but we were going for over-the-top anyways, haha. And it's more fun to watch zombies splat randomly all around, than fall in the same place.
