My most advanced machinery is a vanilla furnace Unless you count TC3 crucibles and whatnot as machines, but I don'tI do the same thing. In fact, because of that I am stuck in the mid-early game.

I played the tech side a bit, so I used to have a decent setup. At least I have plenty of materials. But all my machines are useless because I disconnected their power to move into the base. Which is unfinished. Damn microblocks. I just hope I don't run out of stone and have to smelt more.My most advanced machinery is a vanilla furnace Unless you count TC3 crucibles and whatnot as machines, but I don't
I'm a treehugger!*snip*, I just care about chopping it all down.
I hate chopping trees, but that's just me. Do you use a special axe or sumthin'?I hate mining (because I hate the dark) but I find chopping down trees relaxing. I love to look at a forest one day, and then see a darker plains biome in it's spot the next day. I also keep chopping wood even if I have enough, because I don't care about how much wood I have, but rather I care about how many trees I cut down. As in, I don't care about preserving the forest, I just care about chopping it all down.
Good 'ol vanilla days. Nice enchanted diamond axe. Rape an entire jungle biome till it's gone. Okay, I have tried adding adding those two in the Tool station, and I've tried combining these in various formations on the crafting bench, nyada. I've also looked at the thread again, and found a mention of electric modifier, but not how to do it.Circuit + battery
It's also doubly good because after the EU runs out it just runs on normal durability.
It may be 1.5 only but I'm positive in Dire's video it was just a battery and a circuit...Okay, I have tried adding adding those two in the Tool station, and I've tried combining these in various formations on the crafting bench, nyada. Could you explain in a bit more detail please?

You need to use the Tool Station to install upgrades(or even build tools). On the 1.5.1 version you get a in game book which really helps with this shit, but in 1.4.7 you've got to either read threads of suffer a bit.Okay, I have tried adding adding those two in the Tool station, and I've tried combining these in various formations on the crafting bench, nyada. Ah. I found out. The battery must be completely empty power wise. At least in 1.4.7
That's also kinda zen for me. During my normal FTB map play, I remember automating everything, but more importantly, in my 1.5.1 world (with several new updated mods) I decided to work on potions and learn how to automate them by using CC and Buildcraft+Hoppers (which are awesome, BTW).The zen for me is watching my automated systems run
I love building the automated systems because it's a challenge of how to try and make them look as nice as possible, while still keeping some level of efficiency, but when I finish them, sometimes i just zone out and watch them. Watch the diamonds roll in, or if I'm feeling cruel, watch my mobs die... >.>

It is really relaxing to do it.
