Ok, first, I'm going to say that orespawn is a pretty awesome Minecraft mod. It adds like a bajillion new mobs, items, and dimensions. I only have one pet peeve about it though: In my opinion, it is HORRIBLY UNBALANCED. It's not even fun to play if you have other mods installed, really.
What are your thoughts on the balance of orespawn? Is it too easy, too hard, or just right?? Can it be played with other mods??

I am a bit shocked that this is even a question. The mod is insanely overpowered, no matter how you spin it, and I find that boring and very much not fun. Other people, however, find it fun to play with.

That said, it adds plenty of interesting things, which appeals to many people in the community. Play it if you like it, don't play it if you don't like it. It's a mod for a game we all love.

I've never played orespawn, but I think the reason why it's so unbalanced is because it's just so wacky. It's kinda expected when the feature list is stuff like: 'LAZER GUNS, GIRLFRIENDS, HOTDOGS, SPACESHIPS, JUMPING CASTLES, ROCKET BOOTS' etc etc.

I got more entertainment out of playing Cookie Clicker than I did with OreSpawn. Seriously, it's a cookie-cutter flight/tools/bosses/dimensions mod that somehow got popular because YouTubers that weren't aware of real mods found it and thus their equally uninformed fanbase took it up like sheep. If you think about it, it's literally just a really OP version of Twilight Forest.

This is one of those "if you don't like it don't play it" cases, but honestly I doubt many would play it if they knew the alternatives.

sometimes people create mods with the exact purpose of it being overpowered. and sometimes people add those mods to their packs because they like it being overpowered.
but not everyone likes playing a pack like that, well, probably most of us don't like playing a pack like that, because things just get too easy and you'll run out of things to do really fast

I always think that OP is a relative concept and has nothing to do with the developing of a mod, people create and play what they like, if you don' t like it no one will force you to play with it.

In my personal opinion, it is incredibly unbalanced and will never find its way into one of my packs. I mean, you can click on a freaking ANT that could spawn at your world spawn and end up in a dimension full of diamonds and emeralds and all the metals. If you like playing with it, fine. But I'm not touching it with a 10 yard long pole.

The only TRUE orespawn mod is GregTech version 5 for 1.7.10. (ducking the rotten tomatoes LOL).

I personally dont like OreSpawn. Its just too overpowered, i like to play with balanced mods but fun, like Witchery. Idk if witchery its balanced, i just like it a LOT. I think its balanced because some rites are useless sometimes. Orespawn its overpowered, swords with range and near 1k damage (and thats enough to one hit the wither, and some other bosses too. Dont play orespawn with erebus. Antilon overlord ill be like kill a chicken if you do that lol) Only play if you like overpowered things, but no way ill use it in my packs that i play with friends to PVP sometimes, betting diamonds lol
