Xycraft blocks

So I was looking at the xycraft blocks, and I though"these are not 16 by 16 pixels, more like 64". So am I crazy or not. And how is it possible if I am not crazy.

I think they're 32x32, though it could be 64x64.

Yes, in the Default TP. Take a look at the new Xychorium, the Forge Lexicon, or the Omniwrench if you need more confirmation that 32x (or even 64x!) items exist in Default FTB.

and just look at the xychorium crystal shardy things (the elongated hexagons) those are certainly not 16x16 either

You may be crazy, but this isn't evidence of that, as the textures for them are larger than the default MineCraft textures. Mod authors don't need to stick to the standard texture size, even if it look strange when not using a texture pack.

Many mod makers are sneaking in higher res textures as default for their mods.
