Xychorium Soil and Multifarms (Mindcrack)

Darn lol, oh well, guess I'll give it a shot. As for the search bar, it's been bugged out for me for the past week (thus all the threads lol).

They are not compatible in the sense that the farms will not replant on it.

However, sugarcane farms that never get completely harvested but only chopped off at the top, those work just fine with xychorium soil. The same could apply to melon/pumpkin farms - but I am not sure if xychorium soil does anything for them, as the plant is already full grown.

They work great for sugarcane multifarms. Put a lilypad of fertility in the center of some and you'll be amazed at what they can do.

How can you do this? do you have to build the platform at the very bottom of the multifarm and stack the Soil up from there? or can you replace the platform with Soil?

Build the multifarm just like your normally would. I would recommend you put the platform on the top level, so the sugarcane grows above the multifarm, and you can get all your pipes in nice and easy.

Then, after you have built the platform, put the soil on top of the multifarm block material (for example, it should be on top of the stone bricks if that's the kind of multifarm you made).

If you want to use the Lilypad of Fertility, then leave a block missing in the middle of a group of the reeds and place the lilypad there (you need water for the lilypad to float on).

The lilypad won't be doing much different from the xychorium soil. It triggers additional growth updates on the blocks surrounding it. Same action, same "lag".

(By the way, I hear that running Minecraft on your computer causes it to have to do work, try not running Minecraft! ;))

speaking from personal experience on ftb ultimate 1.01, my xycraft soil farms lag quite a bit, but the setups with the lilypad do not, despite being similar in function. maybe it's because there isn't 800 blocks xycraft soil updating the plants per farm... just saying. you mad bro?
