Well,

It had to happen... I had this big pile of Uranium lying around...

And I made this, i copied the design from 'BrinktheGamer's channel where he was making plutonium.

I've made lots and lots of rods and this design is powering my efforts to make enough Iridium to finally make an ME controller.

Anyway, does anyone know of a good and current guide to making awesome nuke power plants in FTB Infinity / Infinity Evolved?

It looks like I need Iridium to get into ME and various uranium derivatives to get into Big Reactors down the track as well.

If your into making Plutonium, here is a faster design that produces more tiny piles of plutonium dust per cycle (42) . Produces a fair amount of EU/t as a bonus (360 EU/t).

Thanks, one query though, what are you using for cooling? Are those overclocked heat vents or something else? I'm running the Sphax texture pack.

No worries, i've built it and it indeed makes 360 EU/T :) is filling up my MFSU nicely.

What's the biggest eu/t ic2 reactor you have built?

in all honesty? 1,200+ EU/t for a heated MOX reactor. Don't have one in my current server world at the moment so I cannot show you it's layout.

This is my "go-to" page for all things IC2 nuclear: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=11729

Personally, for Infinity Expert, I built the one-block reactor with a 120 EU/t output - it's the second reactor listed in the second post on that page. It's a Mark 1 reactor design which means it cannot blow up and cause damage and heartache. But there are many other designs you can experiment with. I made 8 of those little 1-block reactors and over time that gave me all the plutonium I needed to progress towards the other items in the modpack.

There are also other some other threads over on the IC2 forums you can read thru to get ideas and information, so dig thru it all at your leisure.
