The main floor of the lobby in my base is decorated with silverwood slabs. I ran out, went to make some more and suddenly...

Huh?

How did this happen? All i've done since this was previously working was enable chickenchunks and re-add Aroma's Mining world to the pack. Neither of them *should* change any thaumcraft recipes as far as i'm aware.

In fact, this also happens with greatwood, so my nice wood-panelled essentia processing room is missing the final section of floor too.

Halp?

From some additional testing, my natura woods all give the correct slab, IC2 rubber trees give nothing (although that may be normal, i think they have to go through the sawmill or something) and all vanilla tree types work correctly...

If you have a really solid machine, add carpenter blocks and drop silverwood into the carpenter slabs.

Rather then modtweeker, can't you manually edit the ore dictionary?

Where would I find the ore dictionary? I assume it's buried in a .jar file somewhere?

I can't see the image on my phone for some reason, what's the actual problem? Did your already built floor convert? Or have you found that it won't craft thaumcraft wood slabs?
Once I ran in to the latter problem and found that if I used the top row in the craft bench it would actually craft them properly. I think it only worked in a vanilla crafting table too.

Try a fix like the mod NoMoreRecipeConflicts. It uses a Vanilla crafting table (support being added for more as time goes on) and if two recipies exist with the same recipe, it allows you to select which produce you want to make before you pull it from the table. By no means a perfect solution, but maybe it can patch the issue while you find root cause.

It's the latter, the stuff I've already placed is fine, it's just the crafting recipe is borked.

It shows up in NEI fine, but any attempt to actually craft them produces oak slabs. I even tried what you suggested (top row, plain vanilla crafting bench), same result.

It's bizarre.

In a regular work bench? I take it you would have tried the bottom row too?

Actually I tend to play rather modified packs. Sometimes when I add a mod with a conflicting recipe it will sometimes take turns with recipes.
