I am in the worst possible position. I want worldedit, but I'm on a Mac, playing FTB ultimate.
Everything I've seen assumes you already know how to do this stuff.
I've tried to install worldedit (without bukkit?) on my Mac, and it just didn't work. Nothing broke, but the commands didn't work.

1. Do you need bukkit? What is bukkit? Do you only need it if you're doing it on servers? Can I play FTB with worldedit without bukkit?

2. Is SPC different than worldedit? They seem to be used interchangeably, as if they're the same thing.

3. Does anyone have any resources that can help me do this? The part of me being on a Mac is what makes this harder for me to find.

Thanks for the help!

Bukkit is for servers, mostly plugins and security.

SPC?

Sorry, no, I've had the same problem for over a year, and that was with vanilla.

SPC = single player commands.
When I look up how to install WorldEdit I can instructions on SPC. Wondering if it's the same thing, or if they're two different things. If different, do I need SPC to have WorldEdit?
So I don't need bukkit in order to use WorldEdit in single player then?

So bukkitforge doesn't work on macs? or is NBT explorer something different? is it one of the plugins for bukkitforge?
I don't see any bukkitforge tutorials for mac, but some do include (do this if on a mac), but they don't seem to work properly.
