Where did you install the launcher and mod packs? Check to see if your save is still there. If not please list where you have it installed.

This also happened to me, but followed after a sudden crash that I can't attribute to anything specific.
I am a little unsure, but this may be the crash log that accompanied the occurance:

http://pastebin.com/EyfhXvjm

I'd be very thankful if someone could tell me of any way of restoring the world.

EDIT: versions MC 1.6.4 and DW20 pack 1.0.3

For your error I suggest backing up and using MCEdit to remove the ticking tile block, which according to the log is a TE Furnace. The furnace is at 'Block location: World: (-28,70,339)' The block might appear as an air block or an unknown with MCEdit, but simply removing the block should fix the issue. Be sure not to remove any other blocks or add any and keep your backup.

Good thinking, but I missed telling you a crucial fact: the level.dat and level_old.dat files were removed, the only one that might be related left is level.dat_mcr.

Same happened to me, it crashed right after i tried to pull an electric treetap out of a backpack.

level.dat and level_old.dat also gone

I was using the 1.0.3 version if that matters

i have it installed on my c: downloads in a file for minecraft.. inside the file i have the FTB launcher as well as the mod packs i use.. when my world did not show up i looked in the direwolf20 1.6.4 minecraft saves folder.. it was there but would still not load.. i tried clearing all the data and re downloading ftb as well as the mod pack.. if it happens again i will be sure to post my crash log.. this happened right after a forced close of my ftb minecraft game.. i have been having this happen alot since the last 2 launcher updates..

My world is gone but my level.dat is still there. It got lost after a crash too.
The crash report:
http://pastebin.com/ZsmCh5Zn

It is a known error but currently there is no proper fix for it. You could try moving your world out of the saves folder then create a new world with the same name exit. Now copy your damaged world over the new one and replace any files it mentions.

In future please create a new thread rather than posting in one that is nearly 2 months old.

When you open the map for Direwolf 1.6.4 you gould get screenshot, saves , minecraft and natives in it
TO get the save files you want, copy the files from that save to the save map inside the minecraft folder in Direwolf map
