World corruption from an MFFS system?

So I set up a MFFS system on my small SMP server. I saved the world and turned on the server a couple hours later. I spawned and noticed the area around where the forcefield system was regenerated back to the beginning. My entire base has disappeared and the land is the same as when I started the server.
