Works fortune enchant with ftb ores?

hey guys i have a question does the fortune enchanting works with ftb ores or only minecraft ores?, i cant test it atm because my game pc has broken so im on my sucky laptop that cant handle ftb

There are only a few ores that fortune will work on. Anything that drops an item rather than the block will have fortune work on it. So take diamond for example. Diamond Ore does not drop Diamond Ore it drops Diamonds. Same thing for Redstone. Those fortune will work on. For the ores like Iron Ore that drop Iron Ore, or itself, fortune will not work. Try it out in a test save. See if a diamond pick drops the Ore itself or if it drops an item instead. If you want a list I have none sorry.

Edit: Sorry just saw that your PC cannot run FTB. Have you tried using Optifine or some of the tricks we give for increasing fps?

I read in the wiki that it doesn't seem to affect Xychondirite. Personally I am curious about Fortune with RP2 gems. Saving all those in my mine until I find out if I need to use a fortune pick on them.

Fortune works on RP gems, I believe it works on anything that would give you experience for mining it tho I'm not 100% sure on that

Fortune works on all blocks that drop items when destroyed with the relevant tool, but was coded to have an upper limit to how many items it can give at maximum. For example, glowstone will give more dust when broken with fortune, but only up to four per block, which is why harvesting it with Silk Touch is more efficient.

Fortune effects all item dropping ores except XYcraft and Urainium/Iridium. Redpower gems work fine.
(Thaumcraft infused stone cant be silk touched)

Glowstone will always drop 4 dust, and gravel drops more flint.

I think tinkers construct allows the auto smelting effect to work with its fortune effect- so you can fortuneIII your smeltables too.
