Wooden Wind Turbine and Wooden Windmill?

I was looking through NEI and saw these. What are they? What kind of power do they produce? I tried placing one without effect, do you have to put them anywhere specific?

They are part of Redpower 2 and have to be placed in a Kinetic Generator. The turbine goes straight up and has 6 blades while the wind mill has 4 blades and generates less energy than the turbine. It takes a lot of string to make but the flax that redpower 2 adds makes it easier to create.
