Wireless Redstone Transmitter Crash/Need to Clear Player.dat

So in my ventures of FTB I've come across the glitch of using middle mouse button on a wireless redstone transmitter in creative, leading to my game crashing. I looked up the problem, and it said the simple solution was to clear my clients inventory. No problem. I deleted the player.dat file, and tried logging in. To my dismay, I briefly logged on with the corrupted inventory only to crash again. I checked the folder again and the player.dat file had reappeared in all of it's glory. So here's my question. Since I can't delete my player.dat file, how can I clear my clients inventory without actually entering the game. Thanks
