Yeah ive tried that, but it didnt worked.

The whole Dimension, my Base is in, has no blocks at all, dont know why.
Does this mean that you are pretty much screwed? If so, sorry to hear about it. Really like your base.

Ok, time to give you a small update...
I had to work a lot in RL in the past few days, but today i had some time to spend... and made some progress

20130327_21.15.38.png

I worked on the Start of the Roof, i tried to "double the roundness" by using microblocks... The edge between the Walls (with the windows) and the roof is not quite finished. I dont know, i think it looks kind of bulky.

Here you see it from another perspective

20130327_21.15.30.png

Its looks better from the Inside, although i have to work on the Lighting..

Beside that Main Building i worked a little bit on an World for all the Bio-Stuff. Im planning to build these huts for the farming and (animal-breeding) area. I imagine to connect the little huts by some walkways. And maybe build some bigger ones (I have to think of a Design for Tree-Farming as well, that fits into the style).

Here you see a little bit from Inside, its a 5x5 Planting-Area managed by some MinefactoryReloaded Machines (There will be Updates to the farming area in an upcoming Version). Im planning to do most of the Farmingthings with MFR, because i kind of like it, and its pretty easy to setup.

greetings[DOUBLEPOST=1364421911][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, i think i may tear down, my actual Storageroom, because im pretty impressed by Applied Energistics. Although i kind of like the actual Design, this would request a whole new design..

When, or if, you do set up an AE storage network, would you mind posting some pictures about it? I've been working on one now for quite some time. Also, do you have an automated ore processing area? I would love to see that as well.
As for the tree farm design, you could use Steve's Carts as it kind of lets you build whatever shape farm you need. Hope that helps!

My ore processing is pretty simple... its around my industrial grinder.

The Output from the Grinder is pulled out by an Filter, the empty cells are send to an aqueous accumulator, the dusts to an gt-crafting-table (set to the tiny-dust-mode-thing) and via 2 adv. translocators send to an item tesseract...

Get ready 'cause i'm about to blow your mind.

...

Just put the aqueous accumulator under the grinder, and export the water up. It can used piped in water instead of cells to do your grinding.

thx barbarian, actually i was thinking about this, and than just thought, nah its not possible and was going for the cell-route :) how stupid...

i have done some thing, but not much showable. Ive set up a 7x7 AE-Crafting thing and some basic AE-Stuff. (Damn, that costs a lot of Quartz). I will show it, when its done, i have some pretty cool stuff in Mind.

I also have moved my Laser-Setup out of the Main Building and build a little thing in front of it, which i want to show you:

Here you see it from Outside, its right in Front of my Base.. (Im planning on doing a little Pathway, when the entrance is finished.

20130403_14.33.58.png

A view from the Front.

20130403_14.34.02.png

And from inside.

And in action.

Its running with about 130Mj/t wich is pretty fine for me. (Im not using it a lot, only for Beestuff)

greetings

When i first set up an AE system I built a 7x7x7 crafting array. Little did I know that one of those pattern holders can hold a ton of recipes. My current one is 5x5x5 with 9 cores to speed up crafting, and it is way more power than I need.

Use aluminum blocks from xycraft, they are much cheaper than tin and look very similar. I even like their look better. Only problem is u can't make micro blocks

I like the xycraft aluminum blocks. It sorta looks like a brushed metal plate, good for sterile rooms and very clean looking bases or entryways.

Hmm yeah i have a lot of Alu.. I might try that, although it would only work for the Floor, because all the other stuff is made out of microblocks (It maybe would mess up the style with the tinblocks on the Walls/roof, gonna try that)

this base looks great. my last base was a floating large stone block with 3 floors in a mystcraft voidworld (with the nice extra that it had obsidian obelisks).

while reading on the first page, I thought, I should note, that with GT-3, GT-machines tend to explode when being exposed to open sunlight (even glas protects). so in other words, your base would turn into a large crater, when updating (something that isn't possible right now).

but since you already built a roof which protects the GT-machines, everything is okay again (I'm just a bit afraid about this LESU-unit you showed in your last pics).

I hope, my base looks as good some day in the future. they are usually crowded organically grown structures, and on a certain point, I abandon it due to a new designed base, which is soon as crowded as the first one.
