Sounds insane, honestly. Hard to alloy a form of energy with anything other then energy, and those don't alloy as we know it. I mean, could be useful, sure, but still sounds insane.

Just took another look at the OP. On one hand, your equation is a bit messed up compared to how you describe it. You have it written starting with (GregTech/Greg), which translates to GregTech Divided By Greg, which wouldn't result in a GT sort of mod without the "tedium" and "nerfs". Then you went and made it(GregTech/Greg)(RotaryCraft- Steep Learning Curve), which translates to me as having insanely powerful machines able to destroy things and grief, but without the difficulty that prevents them from being easily used by Griefers.
h
Then it's (GregTech/Greg)(RotaryCraft - Steep Learning Curve)+Tinker's Construct, and you say this is because you want to add some things like from TCon. OK, fine, whatever. I'd advise against it, as it strengthens the idea that TCon is the new "baseline" for balance, but it's your mod.
Then it's ((GregTech/Greg)(RotaryCraft - Steep Learning Curve)+Tinker's Construct)^TE3, and while I applaud you for keeping your equation correctly formatted, you say this is because you want everything to be hopefully as easy and intuitive as TE3. OK, everyone aspires to such a lofty goal, but few say they wish to do this while doing all these other things as well.
You have a list of things in your OP that you want to make in your mod. You have your list of what will be in what release planned out already.

You've got dimensions planned along side village overhauls. Plenty of things under world that seem like they should be elsewhere(sheep traits? Fox Training? ANIMAL GENDERS?!), and despite being this tiny distance along, you have a patron page set up already.
Listen, I don't want this to come off the wrong way, but you've bitten off quite a bit here. I have no doubts it's more then you can chew. You've set your sights high for sure. But as a reminder, none of the mods you are mentioning were made by people who set their sights so high when starting out. GT was made by GregiousT, and it had a LIGHTNING ROD when it was first released. It was made as a joke more then anything, with the secondary benefit of being able to direct people who requested such a thing to his mod instead of them being banned outright. It grew from there.
TE3 was once just Thermal Expansion. It was quite similar to how it is now, sure, but it ran off of the Buildcraft power system instead of it's own. It's grown quite a bit to be sure.
TCon was made by mDyio, who actually had quite a bit of modding experience under his(?) belt before making TConstruct.
RotaryCraft was made by Reika. I actually had only heard of Reika after he released RotaryCraft, but seeing as it's built almost purely around Real Life Physics with only a bit of Minecraft Logic being introduced, and seeing how ReactorCraft uses Real Life Physics, namely ones involving Nuclear Mechanics, there is a very sound chance that Reika is actually a university level physicist. AKA someone with years of their life spent on learning the ways things work, as we understand them.

Just saying, you might want to cut down the scale of this a bit so you don't get burnt out before you get into beta, if you manage to get that far. I have seen people like you on other sites for other games; they call you guys "Big Plans Modders", and smile, nod, and wait for you to give up a few weeks in. Because ~99.9% of the time, that's what happens.

I never said a Solid Light Alloy was possible, but than again I don't think a Magnetar Dynamo is either. And the GregTech/Greg means it would be divided by Greg's "Game Design" if you can even call it that, and MortTech will have NO GRIEFING TOOLS, at all, so don't worry about that. I personally believe that Tinker's is the new baseline for tools, because it is in my opinion. The fact that those modules are in world MAY change, but they could be disabled either way, and I don't expect anyone to be my patron soon, if even at all this year. I know I've bitten off more than I can chew, but that is why I am pacing myself, and I know all about mDiyo's history, his franken-coded InfiTools 1, InfiTools 2, and now Tinker's Construct. I knew of GregTech's humble origins, back when Greg was too, and I saw TE back in 1.2.5. I only actually looked into RotaryCraft when Reika was on Slow's stream, and I don't aspire to code RotaryCraft, I'm not in Aerospace like Reika, am I? I've been coding THIS iteration of MortTech for 3 months, but school gets in the way, and trust me if I drop MortTech, I'll upload the source.

P.S. No offense taken

Then you've got a better head on our shoulders then most "Big Plans" modders. And that's gonna make all the difference.

RotaryCraft was made by Reika.
And it started as a personal-use tools mod. ;)

I am an aerospace engineer (specializing in propulsion), actually. So yes to the last sentence, but with less crazy math and more thermodynamics, aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, and kinematics. ;)

So, less this

and more this.

UPDATE:
Well, I'm sick, so even if I could code 1.7 stuff without being a bumbling fool, my brain isn't braining enough to, so I work on textures and models, and other crap until I don't ache holding a glass of tea.

Real modders work thru the pain and sickness

I see you with a strange glint in my eyes - thumbs up! :D

Here is my bag of ideas!

Get modular, provide great configuration, and documentation, changelog, downloadability of older versions, we plan to use 1.6.4 for 6-7 months.
Be aware when other mods already do something, you don't have to do everything, but you can go on refine things, like gregtech.
Do not recode what is already there.

World - [including Extra Crops] Ores, Crops, Latex Trees, and Crops
MagicalCorps addon.
Please provide configuration switches - as I don't like more ores - to be the new materials able to mined from ores, or no new ores and the new materials craftable.
In Stargate naquadah can be set to be craftable, or be a new ore.

World Expansion - [More Animals, Kitty Talents, Sheep Genetics, Animal Genders and Fox Talents] Forestry-esque Sheep Breeding, Animals w/ Genders, and more...

Machines [including Alloys, Modular Power, Ceramic and Steam Pipes, and PowerSuits] - A.K.A MortTech
There is one machine I miss from IC2: the terraformer.
You may include real biome changes, including Biomes of Plenty, nether and end dimensions too - Biomes of Plenty addon.

Solar Engines and Dynamos - Solar Power :O

Advanced Tinkering [Tinker's Construct addon] - Tinkering of stuffs
Tinkering armor? ;)

Alternate UU [including UU+] - Want UU without IC2?
Yepp, or MineChem addon.

Ars Alchemica [including Runic Stones] - Alchemy, 'nuff said
Ars Magica addon. This, and Thaumcraft are planning to join - do you know they are both made from the Ars Magica roleplaying game?

Addons for Forestry [Forestry Addon] - Purifaction of bees, Papayahimars, and more!

Mysterious Books - Knowledge is power...

Improved Dyes - Maybe, not sure...
Already in Magicalcorps dye plant.

Forbidden Thaumaturgy [Thaumcraft Addon] - RETURN OF THE ELDRITCH
Work with him: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2305054-164tc4-addon-forbidden-magic-v032-prerelease/

Dimensions - Many new Dimensions
Oh noes! :D There are plenty of dimensions already. Also there is Mystcraft.
One thing we need, commands for world handling: teleport, copy, move, delete, edit,
and buildable, non-chunkloading gates between them.
And if you will read below, only cyberspace dimension inside computers.
So beside the world-handling module, a Computercraft addon. ;)

Better Villages - Name says it all
Already lots of mods provide this, Biomes of Plenty is one of them.

Player Expansion - Some RPG Stuff...
As Thaumcraft and Ars Magica taken roots in Ars Magica RPG, your mod can have it's roots, and mood from either of these RPGs:
Cyberpunk, which only tech - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberpunk_2020
Shadowrun, this contains magic too - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowrun
My preferable routes would be alongside tech built into the bodies of players, decreasing max health (as for example Tinkers Construct has a way increasing it), like in the two RPG-s above decreasing "humanity".

MortEssentials - Server Stuffs...
See dimension handling, also take a look at Opis! :)

I think you know this page: http://bot.notenoughmods.com/1.6.4.html

If anything I wrote catches your fancy, I can provide more ideas alongside your wishes.

Thank you,
Mike
