im wondering if you're really asking or you are just bragging?
if not id say yes it should run a freshly generated world that smoothly although make enough dimensions and/ or terrible and renderheavy systems/ machines and it'll go bad although its not in the near future.

Why would I be bragging? This is my first PC and im genuinely asking a question as I dont want to throw money into something that wont get the job done![DOUBLEPOST=1407351946][/DOUBLEPOST]

Consider the fact that either of those PC's will run Battlefield 4 at a nice resolution and detail at 40-50fps, and you might understand why it sounds a bit like bragging.

I dont really know the differnce between different processors, video cards e.t.c. I didnt even dream of running BF4!
Thanks for your reply![DOUBLEPOST=1407352473][/DOUBLEPOST]I would rather the first spec if possible!

Pentium? Go for an i5 instead, or an i7. They have better benchmarks.[DOUBLEPOST=1407359312][/DOUBLEPOST]

That "Pentium" is actually a beast. It's an enthusiast grade processor that trounces (okay, maybe not trounce...but not bad for a dual core) the i5 4430 in that build. the Dual vs. Quad is a decision not unlike Single vs. Dual was 8 years ago. It all depends on what you play/do with your PC.

By the numbers, the 2nd build is the more powerful gaming PC, but just barely. Also by the numbers, the 1st build has more overclocking potential, but by Far.

The CPU benchmarks slightly better. Real world performance will be negligible in most cases though. The GPU is better on paper.

The only real, noticeable difference you'd see is the benefit of the SSD in the 2nd build.

edit: if both PC's cost the same, I'd go for the 2nd one. If the cost is much higher, I'd consider carefully. only about a $100 usd difference in price, I say go for it.

So more Hard Drive space and some more power in the processor and video card?

I would pick the second one.
I do not know much about the first one's CPU but the gpu isn't that good and ssd > hdd for a system drive and believe it or not game performance in minecraft even if just a little bit.

If money saving is what you are after look into building your own PC, pc's now days are literally plug-in and play and putting together the components are basically Legos just a tiny bit more expensive. Just look up videos on YouTube and post on overclock.net asking for a budget minecraft PC build they are very nice and love to help.

Hope I helped a little either route you take.

Looking through the customize list a lot of things are missing from the second build that I would need for the PC to work for me. The price would go up around £100-£150 ($168.40 - $252.60) I was wondering, considering what I said about it being as cheap as possible, would I even notice the difference and would I regret not putting in the extra money?

Thanks for any response!
