Will getting rid of mods corrupt my world?

Hello Community
I've been playing FTB for about a year now on several worlds and servers, and now i have come to a question. Will my world be damaged if I load ir with less mods? I'm kind of getting the feeling I'm using a lot more mods than I need on the Monster Pack. If certain mods could damage the world, could you list them?

I assume the blocks and entitys from that mod would just disappear,but I'm no expert.

It wont damage the world. Well, Code Wise. Physically you may find odd holes and other things from missing blocks but thats about it)
