Umm, the only thing I see in the presser is macro keys. The "G" thing they are talking about is the mechanical side of the keys.. not extra keys.

They're technically not supported by anything else but the keyboard's driver software. You "program" (hate the choice of words here) what they do and they will work everywhere. The point is that you can make them do multiple keypresses in a sequence.

Actually you can program scripts for the keys :P Done that a few times when I wanted it to function as a toggle TAB key for example.

But yeah, they are not new keys. They simply mimic other keys in somewhat more advanced ways.

I own a G15.

With my current drivers I can't bind the G keys in Minecraft controls. I can bind the regular keys, and then bind those keys to the G keys.

They are still useful. I bound a left-click to one key so it simulates constant mouseclicking when I hold down the G key, you can imagine where it can be useful. I used to bind the same thing in vanilla with a delay, to farm obsidian without holding the mouse for 20 minutes. Also, some Pneumaticcraft plant farming/bonemealing.

If you know a bit of LUA(the same used for ComputerCraft) you can super easy program a key to press the button down from one push of the G-button, and then stop pressing the button from a second push of the G-button.

Tbh only the imagination sets a limit. Entirely possible to have variables from one G-button influence another G-button too since it is all done in the same script.

For macros I rather use glovepie, its a shame it seems that it died off as there was so much you could do with it.
You could even use the power of internet to use in your macros or the kinect or another keyboard. And did windows always have 4 cursors all controllable with another mouse? :p
