Will Beta A stay in the Launcher?

Hi,

With an impending update to the FTB Mod Pack, I'm wondering if the current Beta Pack A will stay in the launcher so that those of us playing on servers can continue to play until the server's upgraded?

Previous iterations of the mod pack have just disappeared, is why I'm asking...

Anyone know?

No idea, but it may be worth installing MutliMC and using it's FTB import feature to give yourself some protection just in case...

It may disappear from the mod list however; I'm sure you will still be able to use it. There is now a feature in the launcher which allows you to use old versions of a modpack. To get to it, just click on "Edit Mod Pack", and it is on the last tab.

I am sure I head slowpoke say that the beta a pack would stay for a while after the main packs have been released.
I think he mentioned the mindcrack server in that video, and so it might have been a stream on twitch

This. A lot of people are in your situation, so I imagine it'll stay, but you really should use MultiMC regardless, particularly if you want to customize the pack (e.g. Optifine).

Make a full backup before you update (you should be doing that anyway), rename the minecraft to .minecraft folder and launch with vanilla launcher

There will hopefully be a backdate feature added on the main page, or install the older version with the customise modpack options.

Oooh! Excellent! Not noticed that before. Phew. I just hope the server is updated quickly anyway
