Why was NEI down-revved?

So I noticed that with the latest modpack update NEI went from version 1.4.1.2 to 1.4.1. Was that intentional?

If i recall NEI 1.4.1 had a very annoying display bug that would render NEI usless sometime until you restarted Minecraft.
 
Nevermind. I was comparing mod versions on the server install and evidently it was only downrevved on the server. (not that it matters since NEI is a client mod)
