Why mobs don't spawn on mushroom islands

vanilla mechanic, hostile mobs do not spawn in mushroom biomes.
atleast through vanilla mob spawning, perhaps using other ways of spawning mobs through mods will work

It was supposed to be a joke, but my humor is dry lol.The reason is because I am hording them up in grinder like cages so they are afraid.
