Why is my Sawmill only making 4 planks? (Unleashed)

Wiki says it should make 6. It was already near useless and this puts it at sub-useless, and I really wanted one just for thematic effect. Is this in a config file somewhere?

It depends what type of wood you put into it. Iirc, MFR rubber wood only yields 4 planks. NEI should be able to tell you though

It's not useless, as you get your 4 planks per log plus some sawdust, which can (via a few intermediate stages) be processed into charcoal.


Specifically, put 8 sawdust into a chest-formation and you get a unit of 'compressed sawdust' which can then be cooked in a furnace for charcoal.

Which is awesome since you only get 3 jungle wood planks out of the regular crafting area. You also get sticky resin as a occasional by-product

It sounds like the configs for Thermal Expansion are still set to Hard Mode, I could be wrong, though. I'm not in a position to check the configs at the moment, but I'll try later.

It's only a bug in the current TE version and will hopefully be fixed in the next update.
