Why do the 1.6.4 modpacks have trouble with 32 bit systems?

I am curious. It doesn't explain anywhere I have found.

IIRC its because that version of Java only allows a 1GB RAM allocation. You need more to run a robust modpack. I'm probably leaving something out but that's the point I remember

^Pretty much. It just can't provide enough RAM for the FTB packs.

FTB Lite 2 is the only mod pack for 1.6.4 that will run with good performance on 32bit systems. For the above reason.

Good to know you might want to let Ashzification know so she can update this thread. I do not have a 32bit computer to test them.
