Why am I hearing anvil sounds everytime I open my inventory?

THIS IS SO ANNOYING. I went into my minecraft sounds and toned down the anvil, but after that other items replace it.

Doing some googling returned Gregtech, but no solutions have been found. What do you guys think?

Issue between GregTech and XU. I think the solution is to revert to an older version of XU. I have NO idea why it does that, but yeah. Only seems to be a problem when Gerg is present.

Nope, still plays the sounds. XU is extra utilities, right?
