Whitelist Servers

So I have been hosting servers for some time now and I was just wondering what other server owners do for their whitelist application process.

I personally do not do whitelist servers. But in a way I still do. For example if i meet someone ill talk to them for a few weeks as I get to know them then i will invite them to whitelisted servers.
