I just downloaded and started a game in the Direwolf 20 pack for 1.5. So I start stair casing around to get to the bottom and begin to mine the diamonds and ores. Then I run into something very weird, I found end stone near a set of diamonds and was confused, so I dig it up then find a piece of end stone that looks like was mixed with an water shard block from Thaumcraft. Like a moron I tried to mine with a diamond pick axe, but it just poofed once it was broken. Can anyone tell me what block and mod it was from?

I wish had made a screen shot of it, but didn't think to at time. I even cloned the world to see if I could find it again but no such luck. Oh and I do have biomes a plenty on as well.

Sounds like a worldgen derp, Ive seen no mods that add endstone to the overworld and if they did it would be just plain wrong.

Ars Magica adds various towers to worldgen. I believe recently the tower revamp may have removed the one with endstone, but I have not explored the archmage tower so there may be some in that beast.

It sounds like you found an oblivon hive. They're added by magic bees, spawn surrounded by endstone and are somewhat rare. If you are interested in bees this is the point where you realise what you've done and start facepalming.

Yeah, I never really was going to be into the bees, however I realized that I messed something up.... so while it doesn't seem that bad to me now that I know, I did infact go 'Oh crap what have I done?!' when I first did it. So next time, I'll make a scoop and tap any odd looking blocks with that, thanks folks!
