On the server I play on we have Canvas bags, mining bags banned for a dupe bag, wand of excavation because it is able to break towny perms, nukes, gravity gun because it ignores towny and LWC, the G function on portal guns because it acts like a gravity gun.

If I think of anything else I'll add it.

We also banned world anchors and changed configs for chunkloaders to load only when player is on to reduce lag. Another thing is we disable players from making ages

Oh right! We have mystcraft ages banned for people, and just set up a few at spawn. I forgot about that. We just set a limit on number of chunks a player can keep loaded.

Whats with the mental ban list... the 3 damage wands, vajra, chunk loaders/world anchors, portable hole, soul cage. All of those are great items that don't break the game. You can change towny so that those it still protects against those items.

EDIT: Minium stone needs 72 hours of playtime!!!!! I had mine within 4 hours and use it constantly lol. Considering how much greg tech already slows down the game, the minium stone "ban" is really unnecessary.

Don't like servers that ban too many items you like? Just get out of there and go on one that does or if there isn't any on the "market" start up a small one like I did. It's not cheap but hey now I can enjoy the game just as if I'm on single player and actually been inactive and trying to get more active players to join. I do have EE3 and Mysticraft disabled however, for exploits and lag reasons. TW forest is disabled atm but I'll have it back on the next Ultimate pack update. So once I actually get more to join and stay around we'll be having lot of fun without stupid banning of items beside those two mods.

Yeah, Its the ultimate pack? How the f*ck do you want to do anything gregtech related if i-tnt is banned? Or is it just banned in terms of actually placing it in the world? And why is the omniwrench banned? I can understand a few of those items, but the omniwrench?

So many banned items. The only item I have banned on my server is the nuke, and I haven't even heard of any major dupe bugs, whereas you seem to ban just about anything that's remotely interesting for either being OP, griefing, or dupe. Seems like a fun server to play on.

canvas bags are major dupe item put it in ur third slot and then orginize, it will dupe all items in the bag....sorry but thats to op i had to ban it on my server because of people duping massive amounts of items

other things i have banned:
mining lazer (bypasses protections)
crumble horn(bypasses protections)
chunkloader/modules(same reason as worldanchors)
worldanchor/anchor cart/personal anchor(can be used to create lag holes and some players are stupid to leave machines on and cause massive lag)
portal guns/gravi gun (bypasses any protection)
power armor (suit not tool)
vajra (bypasses any protection)
all turtles (bypass any protection)
uncrafting table (crafts banned items)
and mystcraft descriptive book (this so players dont spam creation of worlds)

these are the only items i have banned and things seem to go very smooth because of it.
i forgot to mention that i have tnt and nukes blocked for placing only this item can still be crafted to use in machines (i use forge protection mod for banned items that can be crafted but not placed and i use recipe remover and blacklist items in essentials. )
