Hell, just go for the mod spotlights. He thoroughly explains everything leaving the fun builds to the imagination.

spotlights are useful indeed, but they only show you what purpose blocks/items have and how they're used in small builds. in his LP direwolf does a whole lot more with the mods, even combining mods with other mods, which you don't see alot in the spotlights

Well kinda have to agree with Demo, combining mods etc and using the blocks in ingenious ways is what I enjoy thinking up myself. I want info on how the block works, I want to figure out how to use it.

I love seeing all the awesomely complex builds too, but when I'm sitting there playing and I think of an awesome idea for a build, I have that eureka moment than an "Oh wait, Direwolf did that.. damn...." moment where I realize that my idea isn't really my idea. It takes away from the creativity and the enjoyment of doing something amazing all on your own.

Yeah I feel really proud of figuring something out on my own and then later finding out that my solution is also the one considered the best solution by others. And its amazing game value to solve the problems yourself with own solutions.

It's a really nice feeling. It really boosts your confidence knowing that you made a strategy in a game that many official game guides recognize as the best strategy there is. In this case, it's DireWolf20 and complex builds.
