Where is Mystcraft data stored?

So performed the update to Mindcrack, of which I installed mystcraft manually a few days ago, and now my books and notebook are gone. I made sure to save the world folder and mystcraft jar but i'm guessing that the data was stored in another location?

If you launched the game without the mod installed, minecraft will delete every item it does not know. Reinstall the mod then restore your world from a backup,

doh! i think you're right. after the update my server was crashing and I think I ran it once without mystcraft to troubleshoot. oh well thanks for the info

Yes, always backup your saves before loading a new Mod Version.. It hurts even more if you use custom mods.. Because the new updated mod pack will delete all custom mods.. And you have to reinstall them before loading your save.. If you don't you will lose your stuff from the mods in the save forever... Unless you have that backup...

Important.. Backing up minecraft is like Brushing your teeth everyday.... And with mods and minecraft.. NO backup and its only a amount of time before your save is caput.
