Where can I find vitium essentia?

Thaumcraft 4, Monster modpack
I need vitium essentia (the liquid kind) for several infusions.
I know fibrous taint contains it but as yet I have found no way to pick it up and put it in the alchemical furnace.
Also on the server I play on due to technical reasons there may be no fibrous taint in the world anyway.
Mana beans? Slow, random and low yield unless someone can point me to a practical way to farm them for essentia.
Flux goo: Don't know how to pick it up or if it has vitium.
Tainted goo: Don't know how to get it or if it has vitium.

You can hold on to most tainted items by putting them into a bag of some sort, they don't decay in there.

How do i pick it up in the first place?
I tried shears, silken touch etc

Apparently the various tainted items drop from taint related mobs.

There are the taint slimeball things, they do not decay and are an easy source of vitium

Mana beans are slow? Did you know that multiple lamps of growth stack! Put 4 or 6 and you will never again complain about mana beans being slow. You can also autospawn. Pech they drop beans.
