Big fan boy of ender io and AE (well AE1 anyway...)here.
I had an epic dream... of taking the best of ae and the best of EIO and making the world a better place. I had always enjoyed the use of by passing the ME drive, and using many ME chests instead along with a crafting terminal. Instead of having the inventory showing up in a discombobulated manner... I could utilize the ability to prioritize the chests to group my inventory in a more usable fashion and could more quickly locate what I was looking for and also get some local context as well. AE2 has dropped its ability to customize the grouping of items by priority in the terminal list so it can make sense to the user however he wants it organized. That is a damn shame... I do very much so like the improvements to channel users in that so many things can be rotated though. That does help. I have found much joy with EIO with its short distance teleport blocks and the ender io's. With a wand I could jump to a single hub from 100 blocks in any direction, or view through the EIO and interact with the surrounding storages, machines, and crafting blocks. It made everything SO much more convenient. So I was to use these 2 features to setup a Remote Central Control Hub utilizing AE's great inventory management and accompany it with machines... all in reach of the EIO. To my fustration and mistake, apparently the EIO only can interact with inventories. It will not interact with AE's terminals.
Me, realizing what I found to be AE2's shortcoming of lost customizing item listing:
ME, realizing my eipc dream was a complete falsehood and never to be:
