Always when I start a modpack or just plain regular Minecraft with a few mods, I get a ''server.txt''.
Wy does this happen, and if there is a way to prevent it, how do you do it?

Off the top of my head, I believe it's a log file. I don't know of a way to prevent it. Is this appearing in your single player folder or are you running a server?

It is literally just tracking what you are doing in the game, whether it's SSP or SMP. Remembering that SSP also behaves like a server now.

Also, by the looks of it, the same file tracks over all packs, because I can see where I tried to play Ultimate and the error I got (basically, my laptop can't handle it) and I can see where I have been testing boiler setups in Mindcrack.

So really, it's nothing to worry about.

Strange that it appears on his desktop though. Have you installed Minecraft to your desktop?

I would assume it's because that's where he saved the FTB_Launcher.exe file, as my server.log file is in the same folder.
