When I'm on lan...I can....

........Now, just to let you know... I am very fluent in techie terms.....I do it for a living lol.....

Everything is updated, FTB core folders were removed and replaced.......I tried this on multiple access points
My laptop is a MSIGT70 (12gbRAM//3GBVRAM//17))) Everything is updated.......but as SOON as i click on Multiplayer it crashed my client.....

Any thoughts? Oh btw, I'm running a Server on my network at home.....The server loads up fine on both connections, wifi and Lan...

Would really appericate the read! Cheers

That maybe more of an issue with your wifi settings. Minecraft and FTB launcher uses a port that your router may not be set for.

You only need to change ports if your hosting a server, for a WAN. the issue is..

When I click on the button itself, it crashes my game........and besides, if it was a wifi setting...it wouldn't let me connect to FTB servers or MC servers...but it does...

Going to check my log here in a sec.....[DOUBLEPOST=1361982136][/DOUBLEPOST]Hmmm..not to sure which log file I'm looking for...

Theres a Minecraft one thats just empty...besides that, can't find where the log is haha

... Ok lets take a step back, how much RAM are you allocating? And if its a problem with the client crashing, please provide a modpack. More than likely its not a problem with the firewall. To find the log what you need to do is find where FTB is putting the downloaded modpacks, go to the the modpack folder for which you are having trouble with, then just paste the ForgeModloader.log (I prefer to paste it to pastebin, it takes less space on the forum page).

My firewall is disabled, and its not a ram issue....

if it was a ram issue, on LAN it would crash as well.......I'll double check my routers firewall tho....Haven't looked there...hmm

So i disabled my firewall completely......so no go....:/
