Usually twenty to twenty-five is about where it is acceptable for most people. If you've gotten used to lower FPS situations, you may be able to force yourself to enjoy it at lower levels, but you'll surely end up greatly enjoying it when you can get it higher.
oh most certainly. I very nearly made a mess of my pants when I had 40-50.

I have installed the newest version. D5 and had to go back to the D3 to make things work right. I really did check into this and the iron chest mod says its optifine. Optifine wont work on it... idk what to do but use an outdated version.
The issue may be a problem with your video card, then, mate, as I've not noticed any such issue with optifine on my two systems. Good luck, though, and hopefully it gets resolved someday for you.

Hah, that's about how it works when going from the update cap of 60fps to 120fps for your display. The extra sensory input is wonderful.

I looked into this. Its the multi-core feature of optifine. Its buggy and has issues for some people. Basically its a low priority on his list since 1.5 is out.[DOUBLEPOST=1363192024][/DOUBLEPOST]Which sucks a lot because multicore chunk loading would be awesome.

Thermal Expansion. Easy to use machines, compact setups, better power options for Buildcraft and anything that uses MJ. The redstone energy cells are my favorite since it's a battery and placable block that's super portable and configurable.
Thermal expansion is definitely one of my favorite mods :)[DOUBLEPOST=1363196813][/DOUBLEPOST]

Indeed, the problem may just lie within your GPU.

radeon 6800 HD Its up to date with the drivers. Iron chests mod has a post about this on his minecraft forum and several people post about this in optifine's forum. It lies in the multi-core chunk loading. Its an awesome feature but my GPU must not be doing something right. Or it handles it differently. Who knows but it doesnt apear to be getting fixed anytime soon.

Forestry.

I just enjoyed the whole concept of it. It is one of the very few mods that goes into agriculture instead of the more industrial side of Minecraft. I really enjoyed being able to automate farms with one to three blocks, a bit of power, and some items. I enjoyed turning the somewhat useless crops and agricultural items like sugarcane, saplings, seeds, and many more into something useful like power. I am very disappointed that the old farms are being removed and replaced with MultiBlock farms. I think the reason a lot of people liked the old farm was because it was simple to set up. I am not going to lie, it was a bit overpowered but I would rather they increase the power intake on the farming machines instead of introducing a new and more complex machine. It also added Bees. Although default forestry bees are kind of boring, once you add Extrabees, it becomes very interesting. The idea that you can mass produce almost any item you want with two bees is amazing. The ability to genetically manipulate bees and make super bees make you feel like a scientist and is great. The whole idea is very refreshing, and something i have never seen before. I hope they continue to add more and more stuff to the mod.

I would have to say either computercraft or rp2. Those two combine really well together as well. Love it!

I have to agree with you on every bit you said. Hell, I haven't even gone that far into bees yet and the first comb I produced got me hooked!

I feel kind of contradicted on this one. It can be so useful at times, but at other times it really irritates me. Makes the game more fun and challenging though, so I guess I would have to say that I do in fact enjoy playing with it installed.

See I can't feel that I stress this enough... It's a love to hate mod, sometimes... I mean it adds such great things, it's just sometimes Greg does stuff like (bronze nerf) that just makes you go WHAT???
I love GregTech for it's elongation of early-mid game content and finally making the QSuit and a Bajillion EU/t actually hard to get...
I love his machines and tools:
Rock Cutter, Industrial Grinder, AESU, IDSU, Lapotron Pack, etc.
But I also love it because like I said it makes every part of the game longer.
In one world I played for like 2 days and already had UUM PUMPING out... This isn't fun. With the matter fab it is fun, etc. etc.
tl;dr I LOVE GREGTECH!
