Whats going on...?

I am trying to use twitch to login to FTB Pyramid Reborn but when I go to start it up it crashes and in the crash log this comes up.

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoader

I have searched it up but it just says use java 8 instead of 9. But I use java 8 anyways so can anyone tell me whats going on.
