This thread isn't about being late in the game and wondering what to do.

I am wondering what the to do next in my world. I currently am playing Infinity, have a small 16*16 quarry running on ender tank lava power, and I have some basic starter machine. I have a redstone furnace, a pulverized, alloy smelter, an energetic infuser, and an aqueous accumulator making water for my igneous extruder, which makes obsidian and cobble. Whew!
Anyways, I have made a bibliocraft clipboard and have marked what I have done. The problem is, I'm at a point where I don't know what to do next. Do I go all out and build a big base and put all the machinery in it, or do I start Thaumcraft, or do I start bees? I know lots of people will have different opinions, but I will find the ones that suit me! Thanks!

(Edit) I also have a reinforced jetpack.

Get a reliable form of flight. Set up a decent power generation system and larger quarry with automatic ore processing. Then start on Botania.

Alternate your time between advancing through mods and building up cool architecture to house it.
If you don't feel like doing one thing a certain day, then do the other. If you run out of inspiration, then take a break doing something else. Sick/hungover/whatever, then just breed some bees or something. Always have lots of projects going on at the same time, preferably loads more on the planning stage as well.

I already have made a reinforced jetpack, I forgot to say. I'll add that now.

I do this, but usually due to lack of focus than actual planning. I'll see a combination of devices that look like they might play interestingly together, and I'll run off to play with them. Then "Oooh, shiny!", and I'm off doing something else. It discouraging to look around and see 25 unfinished projects, but if you already have a clipboard, its a giant TO DO list (or at least a " What was I just doing?" list).

Depending on how you function best, either pick a mod and dive in, or find the basics of four or five and see what you're interested in. If you're in it for the long haul, build a nice base for each mod in the pack, and a main complex that ties together the tech from the individual mods in exciting ways (not to mention being a nexus/train station/physical hub).

Its your world. Play in it.

i'm at a similar stage right now.

My next goal is clear, however the RNG is having a larf at my expense right now.

All I want is a single charged certus quartz so I can make a charger, charge some more quartz to make a meteor compass, get some presses, make some ME drives blahdeblahdeblah.

But I can't find any. I have more than a dozen stacks of normal certus quartz and about 30 diamond chests full of stuff i've dug up/lumberjacked/grown but my 5-year plan progress is being held back by my lack of one unit of a single resource :-/

Which pack? I know Resurrection removed charged certus from spawning, needing a GT machine to do it for you. It was the way they gated AE back in the pack. Something similar at play?

My suggestion would be to constantly go cave diving and try to find ravines. I usually find a good amount of certus quartz in them.

Infinity.

And all that's changed from my previous world is that i've readded a couple of mods that were in by default.
