I was just wondering if anyone here listened to any interesting podcasts while gaming, going to work, etc. There's 2 I listen to pretty religiously, and one I listen to sometimes.
These are all available on iTunes (and probably other places) for those who are interested.
The Skeptics' Guide to the Universe (yes it's a play on Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy). It's a pretty awesome show and interested in science, skepticism and defeating the evils of pseudo-science and snake oil sales(wo)men. There's also Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast, which is hilarious. He rambles on for about an hour about things and gives advice to people who write in. It's full of explicit language, so don't listen if you don't like that kind of thing. Linky: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/bill-burrs-monday-morning/id480486345
The third podcast I listen to is Neil Degrass Tyson's Startalk. I'll ocassionally skip an episode or two when I don't think the subject of the episode will be of interest to me. More often than not though the episodes and interesting and sometimes even funny. Linky: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/startalk-radio-show-by-neil/id325404506
I used to also listen to Astronomy Cast, but have started watching it on YouTube instead. They record their podcast in a google hangout, which they air live on youtube. If you watch live you can ask them questions and stuff. Fraser Cain also uploads a lot of other short interesting videos and hosts a weekly virtual star party. They talk about space, telescopes, and switches between his guests from around the world that have their own telescopes hooked into the hangout. I'm curious if other people listen to podcasts, and if so which ones.
