so what mod in the monster mod pack is making this area disintegrate? is it going to spread past this chunk, its within 150 meters of my home.

Nah, it's just a crater that looks exactly like a Hungry Node is sitting there.

On a similar note, next time you decide to use the "Ask a simple question, get a simple answer" thread, try reading the whole thing to see if you find your answer first. Rule, guideline, or small suggestion. You decide.

Anyway, apparently, If you point a piston or a drawbridge at a hungry node and try to push it with a block, then it'll destroy it.
