Hello,

Today, I'm here asking the Feed the Beast community a question about what makes a good mod pack to them. By good mod pack or mod packs I mean packs that are fun and makes you want to keep going back to it. This doesn't mean what mods make a good pack but what features do? Does the pack having multiplayer and lan support make it good? Do the mods go together well?

Personally, i love a pack like AgS, because it's coherent. There are multiple ways to do something, but everything sort of connects / intertwines. It makes it "believable" as far as you can use that term in this context :)

modpacks with a purpose and goal in mind are quite fun, modpacks that are made out of a bunch of mods that were thrown together are not that fun for me, but can be fun for others because they can do whatever they want

Would you say mod packs that lead you in a way are fun (Such as the Tale of Kingdoms mod and Millienaire)? By mod packs with a purpose do you mean packs that only use certain types of mods like RPG-Inventory for an adventure pack?

Modpacks that contain mods that complement the others in the pack without making others obsolete. Also when one mod doesn't make the game super crazily hard and takes over every other mod's recipes. Also RPG packs are very entertaining. I'm a huge fan of mining the old school way personally and old school RPG mods are pretty nice in my opinion.

Another suggestion is for a modpack that provides mods that well suit the players of that pack. (That may sound implied but..) I mean I run a "company" in our mod pack or basically a group of us for the betterment of the group. I like mining, one guy likes automation, one guy likes electricity and power (don't know why, he's weird), and we have a farmer and weapon specialist. So a better way of saying that is modpacks that suit a common theme for the group you are trying to attract.
