What just killed me?

Okay, I'm playing with the Tech World 2 modpack and I was mining down at lvl 12 for gold.
I dig into this lime colored liquid and I notice I'm getting sick, so I try to back off, but b4 i can get to far, everything explodes. I would like to know what killed me so I can try to avoid it. BTW, all my items were lost, no biggy, but dude, thats op.

What did your death message say?

The only liquids I know that would cause sickness/nausea are MFR's sewage and sludge, but those are brown and black in color, not lime green. But I'm also not too familiar with Emasher's mods (Engineers Toolbox , Gascraft and Emasher Core) or Reika's mods (ReactorCraft, RoataryCraft and DragonAPI), so it may be something they add? Thinking on it, perhaps it was an explosive gas added by Gascraft?

I believe all it said was "macktruck6666 exploded" macktruck6666 is my minecraft username.
Edit:
After going into a creative world. I believe it was Natural Gas from GasCraft. It must have reached one of my torches and exploded.
I got to do some research to see if there is any way to detect it or how to harness it.
