I am using the DW pack with extra bees and twilight forest added. I've read that world anchors may not work at this time (and are expensive early), and am not even sure what other options are available currently.

May be a noob question, but what do people think is the best way to keep chunks loaded for the following purposes:
1. quarry a few chunks away from house
2. nether or mystcraft worlds

Also, if I'm not mistaken, spawn is always loaded, but does this chunk move when you make/use bed?

Chicken Chunk loaders can be individually set to how many chunks they load, and can even be broken into "Spot Loaders" for individual chunk purposes. They all load upon the start of the world without the need to be visited to start up, and work across dimensions.

And for servers, it has settings that provide better solutions to chunks being uselessly kept loaded by no longer active players than the fuel requirements of other chunk loaders.

Quarries chunk load themselves, just make sure the rest of the blocks are in the chunks loaded by the quarry.
For chunkloading other places there aren't really many options to the world anchor afaik.
